This buy it now auction is for a beautifully presented oval shaped painting in an ornate frame and green velvet mount.I believe the painting is antique and that the composition is oil,I can not personally corroborate that these details are correct but I have no reason for thinking otherwise.

The painting depicts a solitary male figure standing near the waters edge with tall trees and through the mist a distant castle.

I have a companion painting to this with identical presention.It May be of the same area but although this painting is signed (see phot 9) it does not seem to be that of the other painting.
