This unusual size antique fruit & vegetable basket has a typical wooden slat design resembling a very large strawberry basket. I have never seen one of these big and low walled baskets before. It would be a hand-full if filled with potatoes. Made of wooden slats and planks, and held together with metal tacks. It was manufactured by an Unknown basket company in the early 9

1900s. It comes right out of a barn loft, as it’s dusty gray color, dry surface and rust covered nails attest to. All this rustic patina adds to the antique charm of the basket, making it a perfect addition to any antique collection. I keep seeing it on the center of a harvest table filled with red and green heirloom apples. The age of the basket is estimated to be between 1910-1920ish. The basket is in barn-find condition, not even dusted. I see no major flaws to mention. Please pay attention to all the photographs.
