Up for bid is an antique/vintage nephrite jade matchbox cover with a carved crest. The piece is 2 3/8 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide by just over 1 inch thick.  The main body is carved from a single piece of jade, with just the end piece fabricated separately and inserted as shown.  It has a relief-carved boar’s head family crest on the top.  It comes with a matchbox for the Grand Hotel, Stockholm, Sweden.  There are no marks.

Condition on the piece is good.  There is no damage.  An unusual old matchbox cover!
