The 1746-IB16 Discrete Input Module also features optical isolation between the input and backplane, surge protection, and an input filtering capability for enhanced and reliable operation in a noisy industrial environment. The 1746-IB16 Discrete Input Module is UL 508 listed and CSA 22.2 142 approved, and it is designed to meet Class I, Division 2 hazardous location requirements. It comes with 16 individually-numbered LEDs that indicate the input channel status, and underneath the module is a terminal identification diagram.
