Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Custom for Stratocaster bridge

David Gilmour needed a pumped-up sound for his famous Black Strat, so Seymour wound what became the Custom Staggered medium-output Stratocaster pickup. It has been, and continues to be, an honor to work with such a legend. The Custom Staggered is a special overwound single-coil that strikes a great balance between increased output and classic Stratocaster tonal character. It will deliver bigger, fatter chords, and will cut through the mix more clearly than a traditional Strat pickup, all the while maintaining the magic and mojo that make a Strat sound like a Strat. Single notes are bold and loud, and solos truly sing. 

Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas Hot (50's neck)

Give your Stratocaster the warm bell like chime normally reserved for priceless vintage instruments. The Antiquity Texas Hot Neck produces that familiar, spanky Stratocaster tone, but with a sweet tonal character that only a decades old vintage Stratocaster from the 50's pickup can produce. Its treble attack is softened by the specially degaussed alnico 2 rod poles, and we inject just the right amount of smoke, sweat, and grime to give them that perfect grit.  Single notes sound robust and chords are harmonically rich. The custom aged alnico 2 rod magnets create less string pull, and that means more sustain.

This pickup  is custom aged both cosmetically and magnetically to simulate the wear and tear that a pickup goes through after decades of playing. Each comes with a specially aged cover, and the individually ground alnico 2 rod poles are specifically calibrated to deliver just the right combination of chime and sweetness. Each Antiquity Texas Hot vintage Stratocaster pickup is lacquered and potted in lamp black paraffin wax, like the originals.

The Antiquity II Surf provides that smooth and chimey bounciness that only a 60's Stratocaster can produce. Our specially calibrated alnico 5 rod magnets and custom scatter wound coil give the treble attack a subtle sweetness without losing any of the harmonic sparkle.

Hand built in our Custom Shop, each pickup is aged to look and sound like a 1960s original. We use vintage correct blue/yellow cloth pushback lead wire, light gray bottom flatwork, and custom aged covers for just the right look. The Antiquity II Surfer vintage Strat pickups are all lacquered and wax potted.
