A heavy duty 10mm galvanised steel ratchet strainer for tensioning fencing line wire.
The ratchet tensioner can be fixed to wooden or concrete posts at the beginning of a fencing run and in the middle of longer fencing runs where required.
Usually used for tensioning high tensile galvanised line wire in Stock and Agricultural Fencing.
The line wire is fed through the spindle and using an adjustable spanner the ratchet can be turned, straining the wire as it gets tighter. The rachet teeth stops the wire from un-tensioning. The spindle also has a square fitting for an adjustable spanner to tighten.
Size: 3/8" 10mm. Suitable for most line wire gauges - 16G up to 10G (1.6mm to 3mm)
