A lovely antique French gilded brass hook/holdback. The hook is about 12 cm long, 4.5 cm at the widest and weighs 89.5 gm. The design is empire style- a laurel crown and ribbon swag. There is an impressed  'DD' or 'DP' mark on the back. Probably 1890's. In good condition- the gilding is a little worn.
