Letterhead from the Office of William W. Thompson, Manufacturer of Lumber and General Merchandise Dealer in Smithville Georgia.  It is dated July 15, 1880.  The letter is an order of products from Carhart & Curd Hardware in Macon Georgia.  This is a business stock order.  It is signed by W.W. Thompson.  The order included 6 large, galvanized sheets of metal and rivets.  The letterhead shows a shipping station at Sumter City.

As a side note, William W. Thompson of Smithville GA, patented a process for the cleaning of clocks and watches in 1872.  The patent is mentioned in the February 10, 1872 "Scientific American."

This historical document measures 5 3/4 x 9 inches.  There is a small spindle hold near the center of the document.  See scans for condition.
