This listing is for a 1958 D NGC MS67+☆FBL Franklin Half Dollar. Lovely coin that was awarded the NGC star designation for exceptional eye appeal by NGC. Probably the most common date in MS67FBL across NGC and PCGS. This date starts to get quite scarce above MS67FBL, making MS67+FBL rare. With no MS68FBL examples, MS67+☆FBL examples are the finest on the registry with the highest registry score. In this grade this has been awarded "top pop" designation and highest for the date registry point value. In this grade there are just 7 examples at the time of listing, and this is one of those 7 with none finer. The obverse has a gold peripheral tone with a hint of blue toward the center. The reverse shows some neon green and pink hues with some other colors consistent with the usual mint set tone. A great example for this who will accept nothing less than the best. Please see the pics for details. Thanks for looking!
