This is a Kansas fossil shark tooth of an unusual shape.  It's not exactly the typical shape of a shark tooth that come to most people's minds. This is a flat rounded tooth that was used to to crush ginormous shellfish from deep within the sea. It is definitely a must-have for any collector. The teeth come from the Cretaceous Age specifically the Smoky Hill Chalk near Big Creek and belong to the species Ptychodus .  These particular teeth are a great representation of the prehistoric underwater world and are sure to be a conversation starter in any collection.

Along with this listing comes a handy set of index card 4x6 in of seven cards pertaining particularly to the ptychodus shark. The shark's tooth will come with a handy tote to make your storing of your shark's tooth easy!
