A really fine genuine vintage italian onyx table lamp base

Its milky white onyx with occasional slight hints of apricot, in parts the onyx is translucent bordering on clear its a very good piece and well made.

I would place it circa 1950's

it stands at 29cm

Carved in a 'classical' empire style, the base has 4 solid brass ball feet at each corner, the base itself is in two parts, engraved scrolling brass foilate  spills onto the circular plinth, the main stem of the pale green onyx sits in a very well detailed challice, the top is capped with more engraved brass and into a  brass bulb holder

A superb item, versatile and stylish. Made in Italy 1950's homage. I do have a very pleasing pale green pleated shade that i can include if it will fit in the box, it a good thing and suits its proprtions. Just let me know should you want it
