VINTAGE REVELL TIRPITZ GERMAN BATTLESHIP MODEL KIT - H.351 -
VERY RARE BOX.
On offer is a Vintage
Revell Tirpitz German Battleship Model Kit.
MPN: H.351.
Scale 1:570 with 134 parts.
This is a brand new old stock model of the Revell German Battleship, the Tirpitz ready to be painted and made up.
Although the two Aroda Catapult Float Planes have come away from their spruce, all parts are present including decals and full instructions.
Apparently, there was a British branch of Revell at one point in the 1970’s at Potters Bar, Herts so assume that this is when this model was made.
The rarity for this model is in the box itself. I have scoured the internet and also been on the website (Scalemates) which shows the historic change in the models through the years and I have yet to come across the same box. The main differences are that the cover picture shows the Tirpitz travelling through open seas with a few clouds in the sky, the lettering to the side of the image stating "German Convoy Raider Tirpitz of World War II Fame" and the wording on the side of the box states "Scourge of the Atlantic - A Naval Collectors Item - History in the Making".
The box itself is in good condition with only signs of normal wear and tear from storage.
