 CERUSSITE

is a lead carbonate that occurs in oxidised lead deposits worldwide. Many specimens of cerussite crystals are saved by miners that work in copper mines preserving them from being crushed in the copper processing. Cerussite commonly twins at 60 degree angles, resulting in v-twinned groups and star-shaped twins, in fact twinning is one of the key identifiers for cerussite. The thickness of the cerussite gives this wonderful specimen a very stout feel to it. These with the flat and highly reticulated style are rare and highly sought-after. Beyond that, the pictures cannot tell you all you need to know! You should see it in person. This is a premium, aesthetic small cabinet size crystal!
