A sublime antique Art Deco platinum, yellow sapphire and diamond ring, dating to the circa 1920's and accompanied with GIA certification.

This truly gorgeous antique Art Deco solid platinum ring has the most alluring natural earth-mined unheated oval faceted 4.7 carat sapphire of a magical golden sunshine yellow color which warms the heart when on the finger, the sapphire has a very high cut giving it superb depth of color, the lovely gemstone is prong set in a high basket setting which lets the light touch it from every angle, the solid platinum and iridium setting has two stunning near colorless natural earth-mined tapered baguette cut diamonds on the split shoulders giving the ring extra glitter and sparkle-so beautiful and such a joy to wear! The inside of the band is marked '10% Irid. Plat' and tests for platinum. The ring comes in a nice box and is accompanied with a February 2023 GIA report stating the sapphire is 'natural sapphire' with 'no indications of heating' and the diamonds are 'near colorless'.

The ring is approximately a size 7 3/4.
 

The sapphire measures 9.96mm x 7.06mm x 8.43mm or about 4.74 carats. The diamonds measure approximately 4.5mm x 2mm or about 0.12 carats each, the total gemstone weight is about 4.98 carats. The ring rises approximately 9mm above the finger and weighs approximately 5.8 grams.
 

The ring is in very good condition with all over general wear. The sapphire has some nibbles/nicks to a few facets and some natural inclusions, the diamonds have some scratching. The ring has been resized. The box is in excellent condition. Please check all the pictures.

Delivery confirmation is included in the shipping costs. Insurance is included in the shipping costs if the item(s) is breakable. We will always combine multiple items to reduce shipping costs. We make great efforts to honestly and accurately describe each item we list. We back this up with many photographs, all with a close-up zoom option for detailed inspection. Due to the majority of our items being antique/vintage and often unique it can be difficult to determine age and as such all our items are sold 'as is'. However, if we are not certain about the age of an item we will either not mention an age or say the item is being sold as a later or modern piece and then leave it up to more experienced buyers to determine the exact age. Items are not returnable if it was not of the age/value you were hoping it to be with no exceptions. If we place a date on an item we guarantee it to be of that period or earlier. If you require further pictures or more information about an item, please let us know prior to bidding or purchase. Items cannot be returned for any condition issues either shown in the pictures or mentioned in the listing. As many items we sell are one hundred years or older we will not accept returns for wear consistent with the item's age. Any item mentioned as sold 'as is' in the listing will not be eligible for any form of return or refund.
