ICOM IC-701 COMPUTERIZED REMOTE CONTROLLER MODEL: IC-RM3

This vintage remote controller designed to run with the ICOM IC-701 HF transceiver or the IC-211 or IC245E VHF transceivers, may be suited to someone looking for the accessory to complete their radio shack’s vintage ICOM line-up.

The IC-RM3 simply connects to the required radio via a multi pin connector & lead, to the accessory input socket on the rear of the transceiver.

The ‘EXT’ position is selected on the radio’s band switch & then the remote can be programmed to change the band and the frequency on the radio externally. The controller can be mounted up to approx 1.2 meters away from radio.

It was originally designed to mount on either a vehicle dash or console, while the radio was situated under the seat or on floor or similar. It could also be used in the shack while the radio sat on a shelf, etc.

The unit has the required cable & connector attached & ready to fit to radio.

This unit is in very clean condition for the age & executed all functions correctly when last used.

The fluorescent display was sharp & bright & digits corresponded correctly with selected frequencies.

This unit has the mounting bracket & original owners handbook supplied with it.

There are no radios or other accessories supplied or included with this listing.

Instructions are printed on front of remote & within oper manual.

Due to the fact that the unit is approx 44 years old & that it had last been in use over 4 years prior to the listing, I offer no guarantees on continued trouble-free operation.

The item is offered for sale on an ‘as is’ basis.

There are no refunds or returns offered with this listing.

The potential buyer should use discretion with decision to make purchase.

These remote units are rare nowadays & make a good addition to complete a vintage ICOM radio display.

Also have IC-701 transceiver, IC-701PS PSU & IC-AH1 Ant tuner for sale in other listings.

Thanks for the interest.
