Wilhelm, Schiller & Shon red terracotta pottery tea set made in Czech Republic. A charming tea-set consisting of decorative teapot, jug and lidded bowl, two cups and a tray, made in russet red terracotta and decorated with raised designs with a face in centre of each panel. The underside of the teapot, jug and tray are marked ‘WS & S’. Wilhelm, Schiller & Shon opened in 1850 in Obergrund specialising in majolica and terracotta items. After Wilhelms death, the business was taken over by his son Eduard. The business was closed for good  by the Schiller family, at the beginning of WWI, due to lack of available labour. 

Minor nibbles to edges and a small chip to jug, but overall very beautiful.
