Housed in a fine quality leather travel case, this elegant portrait depicts a Georgian gentlemen in beautiful colors that survived beautifully these 200 years after it was painted. Unsigned but obviously painted with remarkable talent, given the incredible detail on his face, which measures just under an inch in diameter. Painted in gauche or watercolor on thin wafer. Excellent condition and protected under the original gold metal mat and cover glass within a leather case. Excellent specimen.
