Storage: Well closed in air tight containers away from sunlight and heat preferably in amber colour glass containers.
Extraction: It is extracted by the process of Steam Distillation.
Chemical Composition: terphenyl acetate, cineol, limonene, sabinene, linalool, linalyl acetate, pinene, zingiberene.
Carrier Oil Information: It is a perennial, reed-like herb. Passion Fruit grows wild and is cultivated in India and Ceylon. It grows up to 4 meters (13 feet) high and has long, green silky blades, small yellowy flowers with a violet tip and a large fleshy rhizome, similar to ginger.
Oil Properties: It is soluble in alcohol and other organic solvents and insoluble in water.
Blend well with: Rose, Passion Fruit, Bergamot, Cinnamon, Cloves, Caraway and Cedarwood.
Summary: The Passion Fruit oil is extracted by steam distillation from the seeds of the fruit gathered just before they are ripe. This oil is most beneficial to the digestive system, but can also help with the treatment of coughs, and a general feeling of not feeling that well.
