This is a set of maximum cards featuring all 39 US Presidents to 1986 (Washington to Reagan), plus one card showing the White House. All 40 cards are cancelled with a Chicago IL May 22 1986 circular datestamp which is the first day of issue for the stamps and are guaranteed genuine.

The USA hosts an international stamp show one per decade starting in 1913, then 1926, 1936, 1947, 1956, 1966, 1976, 1986, 1997, 2006 and 2016. The first six and the 2016 shows were in NYC. 1976 was in Philadelphia, 1986 was in Chicago and 1997 was in San Francisco. The next (and last) one will be in Boston in 2026.

For all since 1926, the US Post Office has issued stamps for the event. The stamps issued for the 1986 Chicago show (Ameripex) were a set of four souvenir sheets of 9 stamps showing the White House and the first 35 Presidents. The reason the USPS could not produce stamps for the presidents after Johnson was because they were not deceased before May 22, 1986 and thus ineligible to appear on US postage stamps.

Fleetwood produced the cards and matched the image of the deceased president to his stamp, and cards for the four other living/current presidents (Nixon, Ford, Carter, and Reagan) with a stamp from the souvenir sheet. May 22 1986 was the first day of issue for the set of 4 souvenir sheets.

The maximum cards come in the original specially prepared binder. Binder and cards are in superb condition.
