Offered is this antique booklet containing the complete set of 20 unused detachable black and white photo postcards with scenes from Strasbourg, France. Each card is separated by a piece of tissue paper. The cards depict major buildings, monuments and other scenes of the city. Some have people in the scenes, like the three girls playing hopscotch in front of the General Kieber statue (see photo #5), or the crowd at what appears to be a market (see photo #7). The cards are undated but they were found with postcards mailed back to the US by a World War I American soldier in 1918 and 1919, so I am assuming these are from that time and the look of the peoples' clothes shown in the cards seem to match that time period. The booklet was produced by Imprimeries Reunies de Nancy.

The booklet is approx. 5 7/8" x 3 1/2". Each card is approx. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2". All of the cards are in very good condition, with no tears. The cards have yellowed and the backs have some spots, etc. The tissue papers are all intact, but a few have some folds. The cardboard cover of the booklet has no tears but there is some light soiling.
