About In Memory of My Feelings
In Memory of My Feelings was a limited edition portfolio of 2500 copies published by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, in 1967 as a tribute to MoMA curator and poet Frank O’Hara, who died in a car crash in 1966. 30 artists contributed works to accompany O’Hara’s poems, with renowned Abstract Expressionist painter Robert Motherwell acting as art director. The portfolio comprised 54 loose-leaf signatures in a cloth-bound case, with many artists providing artwork for more than one signature. The artwork was produced specifically for this portfolio, and thus these prints are original works and not reproductions, and are included in many of the artists' catalogues raisonnés. Many of them have appreciated considerably in value since the date of publication.

The contributing artists were: Nell Blaine, Norman Bluhm, Joe Brainard, John Button, Giorgio Cavallon, Allan D'Arcangelo, Elaine de Kooning, Willem de Kooning, Niki de Saint Phalle, Helen Frankenthaler, Jane Freililcher, Michael Goldberg, Philip Guston, Grace Hartigan, Al Held, Jasper Johns, Matsumi Kanemitsu, Alex Katz, Lee Krasner, Alfred Leslie, Roy Lichtenstein, Marisol, Joan Mitchell, Robert Motherwell, Reuben Nakian, Barnett Newman, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, Larry Rivers, and Jane Wilson.
