The pattern consists of a central medallion of a rose flower (hence
the pattern name) often with birds and panels, reserved white, with
scenes of Mandarin court life alternating with panels of sprays of roses
and other flowers. Framing them are C-scrolls of raised enamel and the
rest is in-filled with foliage, flowers and butterflies. All hand
painted and each one quite a work of art.
