This is an antique sterling silver spoon from North Carolina.  

The bowl is hand-engraved with a detailed mountain scene and "Asheville." The spoon itself is in the ornate, art nouveau Princess pattern, introduced in 1892 by the famous American maker, Towle. 

Length:  About 5" long.

Maker's marks: marked "Sterling" with the fancy T hallmark for Towle.

Weight:  It weighs about 15.6 grams of sterling silver, always a good investment.

Engraving: The scene in the bowl and the initials "CCB" on the front of the handle.

Condition:  Very good condition with some light surface wear, not much.
