From midcentury Italian design legend Alvino Bagni comes this stunning, Brutalist " Autumn Sunset" vase.

The thick, avocado-colored, roughly hourglass-shaped vase is punctuated with glowing orange discs filled with progressively more and deeper persimmon -colored glaze, in a design reminiscent of a slowly fading sun over verdant fields . The rough modeling, bold texture, striking color and foamy, volcanic glaze are all characteristic of the ceramic artist's work.

Handcrafted for German china giant Rosenthal -Netter in the 1960s, the signed vase is in EUC with no chips, cracks, crazing, fading, rubs or finish loss. At roughly 9" tall, it is substantial enough to hold an impressive bouquet, but not so large as to overwhelm

a table or buffet.
