This piece has the start of a beautiful patina that is the hallmark of fine old sterling silver, and it only gets better with age and good care. It is tarnish free, but has some shallow scratches on the heart charm from the chains rubbing against it. In some of the photos, the heart charm appears to have some sort of pitting on the surface, but this is just distortion from camera magnification and isn't visible during wear. The bracelet in the photos is the exact item you will receive.
