Both doorbells are new in the box. I did open one box to see what all was included, but never installed. While I had the box open I dropped two of the little safety screws and couldn't find them...so one unit has both screws, and one unit is missing the two tiny safety screws. But actually one safety screw per unit is enough to keep it secure so you should be fine. Just wanted to be totally transparent and let the buyer know that the two tiny safety screws for the one unit are missing, the other two are included....but again one screw per doorbell is enough to secure it safely.
