About “Tokuriki Tomikichiro”

Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1922-2000) was a printmaker from Kyoto. After graduating at the top of his class from the Kyoto Municipal College of Painting, he studied under the painter Tsuchida Bakusen and subsequently won various awards. He established a printmaking studio and also mass-produced prints using the ukiyo-e method, and was a central figure in the Kyoto creative printmaking movement.
