Up for auction is a rare and used professional Bach Stradivarius Mount Vernon, NY model 34B tenor trombone with f-attachment and a Bach model 36 nickel silver outer hand slide(lightweight). All bell section slides/valve move freely and the hand slide action is smooth with no inner slide tube worn through plating. At some point in time, the valve linkage was changed to a nylon ball system and the bell section has been changed to a convertible model(the straight pipe is not included or available and it's unknown who performed the partial conversion). The straight pipe conversion could be completed by a professional brass technician. There are no major dents present and several minor dents do not affect performance. The bell diameter is 8 inches and the hand slide bore is .522 inches. This trombone has scratches throughout from normal use and most of the lacquer is no longer present. The bell section serial number is in the 21,xxx range and the matching hand slide serial numbers are in the 28,xxx range. Included is a used Bach trombone case(most likely not the original, interior is intact with no strong odors, latches catch and the center latch spring is broken, exterior is worn and is covered in tape, handle is intact, slide holder compartment snaps are intact). No mouthpiece in included. The pictures provided are considered as part of the description.
