Schöne dekorative Antiquität in einem schönen blassblauen Farbton typisch für opalisierendes Glas. Detailreich ausgeformt mit Fischen und Wasserblasen im Relief. Die Signatur P d'AVESN ist in erhabenen Buchstaben eingegossen.

Pierre D'Avesn hatte eine lange und erfolgreiche Karriere, die schon in jungen Jahren mit der Arbeit für den großen René LALIQUE und später für DAUM und andere Kunstglashersteller begann. Er produzierte Kunstglas von hervorragender Qualität sowie Pressglasdesigns für Leuchten. Seine Arbeiten sind begehrt und werden gesammelt. Opaleszierendes Glas ändert seine Farbe je nach Lichtquelle und Hintergrund von blau über blassblau bis hin zu beige. Dies wird durch Bor, Arsen und andere Chemikalien im Glas verursacht. Minimale Bereibungen und altestypische minimale Chips unterseitig an der Standfläche, ich halte sie nicht für signifikant, es ist mir nicht gelungen sie zu fotografieren.

P. D'AVESN had a long and successful career, starting at an early age working for the great René LALIQUE and later with DAUM and other art glass producers. He produced superb quality art glass as well as pressed glass designs for lighting. His work is collectible and sought after. Opalescent glass changes colour depending on the light source and background from blue, to pale blue to beige. This is caused by the boron, arsenic and other chemicals in the glass. Three rough spots on the inside of the bowl where the glass is raised slightly; they are not deep scratches. have tried to photograph and they are in the pictures if you can see them; I do not consider them to be significant

Verry good condition, normal age-appropriate rubbing and minimal chipping on the base
