Uncommon View-Master World Wide Bible Pictures 3-reel S1 packet T-15 / Lesson 15, "God's Rule of Right, (Law of God)" early 1950s -- unopened and unviewed condition.

The scenes in these long-flap pre-S1 era packets were produced by World Wide Bible Pictures of Glendale, California, probably early 1950s, and manufactured for them by Sawyers. Intended only for projection (but viewable with a regular VM viewer), each packet comprises 3 reels each with 14 mono, not stereo, scenes -- in total a 42-scene lesson. Packet numbers are T-1 through T-29, each number representing a separate 'lesson.'

The scenes are mostly artist renderings of religious subjects, with occasional photographs, and some text over illustrations or colored backgrounds, all supporting whatever the subject of the lesson is.  Aside from the scenes that are text (usually Bible quotations) there are no captions on the reels and no accompanying booklet, so no explanation of the pictures.

There's no 3-D and no real story, but it's still worthwhile owning at least one of these sets, if for no other reason than their relative rarity and unusual format and subject matter. The individual reel sleeves, with their globe illustration and green ink, are unique and especially attractive. This is a mint, never opened, packet, but I'm not asking a premium price -- you should open it!

Because there are 14 mono scenes on each reel, it's difficult to view them with a normal VM handheld stereoscope. If you try to view the images normally, you'll see a different image with each eye and half of the images will be upside-down.   You CAN view the scenes, however, by this method:

Insert the reel into the viewer (I do it with the lowest number on the reel facing up in the caption window); Close your left eye, viewing only the right image. Advance the reel to the next scene by depressing the viewer advance lever only halfway.  You get 14 mono scenes per reel, 42 mono scenes per each 3-reel packet.

Sometimes people fail to read or remember these instructions and think that the reels are faulty. I'll reprint these instructions and include them when I ship this lot.  Please note that the packet in this lot has never been opened. Other than the 2 outside packet scans, the photos I'm showing are reels from a different packet. If there is anything wrong with the reels you buy, send them back to me and I'll refund or replace them.

Please check my other listings -- I'm adding items regularly: not only vintage View-Master and antique stereoviews, but also other vintage items.

Shipped USPS. I welcome any questions.
