The workshop is located in Lutsk City in the northwest part of Ukraine. It is currently safe here right now and we are trying to work to fulfill all the orders and help our country. The Hurdy-Gurdy (or so-called in Ukraine "Ukrainian lira" or "wheel lira") is an absolutely handmade unique musical instrument. This musical instrument is made of maple. The lira is covered with varnish. It has 5 strings and 24 keys.

The instrument is perfect for beginners, who want to learn to play hurdy-gurdy, as well as for already experienced players. It is easy to play. The strings are stretched with Gotoh tuning pegs, which is why it is quite easy to adjust and tune the hurdy-gurdy. Great for the accompaniment of violin, guitar, and other instruments.

Remember, the structure of wood may differ. Thus each Gurdy has a unique look.

Are you a right-hander or a left-hander? If you are a right-hander, you tend to turn the crank with the right hand. For example, the man in the video above playing gurdy is a right-hander. Please, contact me directly if you need a left-hand gurdy - the processing time might be longer.

Returns & exchanges

Let’s start with the CANCELLATIONS. I accept them. But there are some things you should know before making an order and canceling it. You can cancel your order anytime BEFORE it is shipped (if it is not customized with your personal design - in this case, we will manage this individually).

Considering returns. I accept returns and exchanges. But remember, I am creating a musical instrument. All of them are wooden and quite fragile. It is not advisable for the instruments to be shipped to and from many times. So if you have any doubts or questions, please, feel free to contact me directly. I will answer and provide you with the full description, with some additional pictures and videos, for you to think twice before ordering. BUT If you have received my instrument, and you are willing to ship it back – no problem with that! I accept returns and exchanges.

So, let’s make it clear.) I accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations. But you need to remember some important rules to follow:

- Order cancellations made BEFORE shipping are refunded asap in full

- The order cannot be canceled after the shipment - at this stage you need to receive your order and return it to have a refund

- Returns and exchanges are accepted

- Examine your package and products very attentively when you receive them and contact me with any issues immediately

- Ship instruments following the RETURN SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS

- Custom or personalized items could not be returned, unless they arrived damaged or defective

- Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
