This King Henry VIII chalkware head was made by Bossons of Congleton and is number 150 in their collection.

It was produced between 1986 and the end of 1994 and was sculpted by Alice Brindley and was based on the composite

Hans Holbein portraits of the King and his wives.

This sculpture is from the Regal and Traditional Collection.

The sculpture is in good condition with few chips or damage. There are a few chips to the rear of his hat and

on the shoulder area but these wouldn’t be visible if displaying them on a wall. Also the inscription/detail is a little worn

on the base. Some of the pearls/decoration around the bottom of the sculpture are also showing signs of wear/damage

I have taken photos showing any damage but all damage is quite minor.

If you have any questions or need any further photos please let me know.

I also have other Bossons/chalkware sculptures for sale.
