This listing is for a Rigol MSO5000 series compatible logic probe PCB securely taped to a 3D printed tray, a 50cm 50 pin 2.54mm pitch IDC cable, and 16+4 test clips (soldered type). Each channel is tested with a 120 MHz signal to ensure that there are no defects.

What You Need to Know

The line driver part is SN65LVDS1DBV. They have 5V tolerant inputsHigh level is 2-5V. Low level is 0-0.8V. Through current limiting or voltage dividing, it may be possible to exceed the specified range at the loss of some bandwidth. While not supported, testing has shown that the chips can survive exposure to input voltage as high as 10V.

As you can tell from the photos, this probe works best at up to around 100 MHz when used with a MSO5000 oscilloscope. There appears to be an increasing amount of jitter past that point. The cutoff was slightly above 475 MHz. I was using a sine waveform biased between the transition points. If you have some other use for this board, the design should be usable far past 100 MHz. Up to at least 500 MHz. The line drivers are 600 MHz parts.

The packaging and/or small details may be different that what is shown. If you have any questions, please ask.

notes: Orders shipping after 8/27/22 will have the option of 30cm or 50cm cable. I will include the 50cm cable by default. If you want the 30cm cable I will apply a $5 discount to your order. To accept this offer add "30cm" to the order notes.

11/17/2022 New PLA colors are available. Matte fiber in black or walnut, or glossy shimmery in gold or purple. I will ship black colored trays unless otherwise requested in the order notes. Just say black, walnut, gold, or purple.
