Originally the historic 1911 Indian Head $10 gold piece was struck at the main U.S. Mint in Philadelphia – birthplace of America's coinage. Designed by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the $10 Indian Heads of 1907-1933 feature a stunning portrait of Liberty wearing an Indian headdress. The reverse bears an impressively detailed eagle with the two mottos: "In God We Trust" & "E pluribus unum."
