Here we have a Digital Microsystems DSC-3 HiNet system, dating from the early 80's
The main unit consists of a Z80 based system, and has an eight inch floppy drive along with an eight inch ~40MB hard drive, which contains the HiNet system.
HiNet is a variant of CP/M or MP/M
The user devices (smaller units in the pictures) connect via a serial based network to the master.
These used to be used with terminal screens, as the units themselves only have serial interfaces (and parallel printer ports)
I have had these for around 30 years, the last time they were powered up was around 10 years ago, i don't want to risk powering on, so are being advertised as for parts, not working.
We have the main server, and 4 end user terminals.
Two of the terminals are Z80 based, the other two have an 8086 CPU.
Along with the units there is a ring binder containing documentation of the system, including extensive schematics for the units.
There is also a set of 10 8" disks, labeled as installation disks, and utilities, etc.
COLLECTION ONLY, WILL NOT POST - I AM WILLING TO DRIVE UP TO 40 MILES TO DELIVER OR MEET UP.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
