Tiffany & Co. Vintage Orchid Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver by Frank Gehry 17"

Frank Gehry designed jewelry for Tiffany, but did you know he is a famous architect who designed the Guggenheim Museum? He also designed a top hat for Lady Gaga with his iPhone! His vision is incredibly unique, modern and fluid, and his vision is evident in this amazing necklace.

This beautiful vintage necklace features a stylized orchid flower pendant by Frank Gehry in sterling silver. The sinuous lines of the pendant, reminiscent of a woman's physique, are sensuous and beautiful. Whenever I wore this necklace, I was asked about the maker and where could they get one. It drew a lot of attention and compliments.

The necklace is in very good overall condition for its age. There are light surface scratches, wear, and mild tarnish that will make a beautiful patina someday with continued good care and age. I gave the necklace a jewelry soak, but it could possibly do with a professional's touch to get any remaining tarnish out of the chain, buy I will leave that decision up to the new owner. Both the chain and pendant are appropriately marked "Tiffany & Co. (c) Gehry 925".

I expect a vintage Tiffany necklace -- in this condition and at this price -- to go fast at auction. And once it's gone, it's gone forever.
