Wool production is a traditional craft of Kyrgyzstan. Since the country is very mountainous and has many tribal nomadic communities, they endure very cold weather conditions and adapt. Hence, they have become, by neccessity, very creative with their added value wool products. This one is hand made and provides protection against cold and windy conditions. It is lined with gray cotton blend fabric. This hat have been specially made for us. It is a unique hat, superb construction. Top quality. Very comfortable. You will not find these types of hats at any high end stores in the USA. Anything similar will not be hand made. Only a limited number of these hats will be available this season. 

This hat is approx 23.75" and approx 8" tall from mid point of hat.

This is an effort on our part to bring you unique items and support the various Women's handicraft groups developing their handicraft cottage industries in Central Asia. This item is from a village just outside Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. Your support will assist these talented, Industrious Women and help share their craft and culture.
