An authentic 11/12th Period bronze figure of the deity Garuda. He is described and depicted as the king of birds. Garuda is shown in either a zoomorphic form or anthropomorphic form. He is generally portrayed with the power to swiftly travel anywhere and defeat evil or serpents. Garuda is also known as Tarkshya and Vainateya. Cambodia was the center of the Khmer Empire with its capital at Angkor. Angkor Wat is one of the world's greatest temples built during this period. The figure including the base measures approximately 3.375 x 1.5 inches( without base 2 X 1.5 inches).
