Vintage B&L Bausch+Lomb USA Ray-Ban 1950s Eyeglasses or Sunglasses Red Vinyl Snap Case

Never used but has imperfections from storage

Circa Early to Mid-1950s

New and never used but has slight cosmetic imperfections from decades of storage. Case is fully functional. I have lightly wiped and disinfected case. Sold as is. Final sale.

Unisex although I believe these cases were used for ladies acetate cat-eye sunglasses like the first generation of Caribbean and similar models. The sunglasses or eyeglasses style(s) stored in these cases need to be fairly flat when folded in order for the snap to close.

Inside has Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Sunglasses Made in U.S.A. with B&L inside an upside down triangle imprinted in the upper left.

• No cracks, rips, holes, or melting.
• Original, not stretched out vinyl strap on the bottom inside to hold the glasses or sunglasses in place.
• Functioning, original coated metal snap.
• Vinyl lining with a very fine texture that enhances grip.
• Lightweight, compact, folding style with open sides.

Outside and inside liner are vinyl. The outside layer is has a low relief texture to it that resembles a linen weave. Metal snap closure is white with triangle logo emblem on the front.

White marks to exterior backside and mild areas of yellowing on the interior as shown. The vinyl is very durable, water resistant, and wipes clean. Little to no tarnishing or rust. Snap is secure. Strap is secure and not stretched out.

No odor. Smoke free, pet friendly home. My family has been the only owner.

Approximate Measurements:

5.5” L x 4.5” H (14cm L x 12cm H) when fully open

2.25” H (6cm H) when folded in half

5.25” (13.5cm) L strap measured on the top

5” (13cm) L strap measured on the bottom

Strap width is a little over 0.5” (6cm) W
