Vintage 1935 Remington Rand model 1 serial number P 40387 Portable Typewriter with beautiful black enamel mirror finish and very nice black keyboard with virtually no blemishes. This typewriter and case have been very well cared for and are as near excellent condition as any typewriter over 85 years old. The typewriter and case show few signs of wear. Please view the photos and judge for yourself. Truly a very nice clean well cared for machine and case. Great graphics and chrome. This typewriter has original platen. The paper feed, backspace, ribbon feed, ribbon, original spools and ribbon covers are all good. The keys strike and return and carriage advances as it should as you type. Back and front feed rollers have been replaced. Margin release and tab are also good. The case is in good condition as you can judge from the pictures. The typewriter measures 11 1/2”x 12 1/2” x 6 ” and the case measures 14” x 13 1/2 ” x 6 1/2”. Types and looks exceptionally well.
