The stomach has been known from written sources since the 14th century. For several centuries it was in private ownership. Since the 18th century. its history is connected with the names of representatives of the Tizengauz family, famous in Belarus.
The Tizengauz family coat of arms “Buffalo” is an image of a black bull in a golden field of a shield. Several of its varieties are known, belonging to this family and affecting, first of all, the isography of the animal itself. There are coats of arms on which the full figure of a bull is inscribed, either its head alone, or the family sign has a multipart division, depending on the marriage entered into by the Tizengauzes with representatives of other clans.
Paying due respect and preserving the bright memory of the representatives of the Tizengauz family, who owned Zheludok and its environs for about two hundred years and did a lot for the development of the town, the main figure from the family coat of arms - a black buffalo - turned out to be quite appropriate on the modern official heraldic symbol of the urban village.
