Fan-favorite artist Karen Hallion is known for her ‘She’ series of illustrations which celebrates some of the most important women in history and literature. Her work on STAR WARS and Doctor Who is particularly admired. Now she has brought her talents to STAR TREK to celebrate these iconic women. Celebrate the women of STAR TREK with this set of collector’s badges based on exclusive artwork by artist Karen Hallion as part of the Hero Collector's Star Trek Pin Badge Collection!

The set consists of five of the most influential women in STAR TREK’s history, from Nichelle Nichols’ Lt. Uhura to Sonequa Martin-Green’s Michael Burnham.

STAR TREK has always sought to lead the way on representation and equality.

When the show launched in 1966 putting a Black woman in a senior position on the bridge was revolutionary. Uhura is one of the most significant characters in television history and inspired a generation of women. When THE NEXT GENERATION debuted in 1987, Deanna Troi was part of the command team, and provided empathic insights. Major Kira Nerys was both a warrior and a complex character, with a central role in the story of Deep Space 9.  VOYAGER was the first STAR TREK show to put a woman in command, and Kathryn Janeway became one of the most important figures in the show’s history, showing countless young women that there should be no limits on their ambition and they could take charge. Since DISCOVERY debuted in 2017, it has been built around the character of Michael Burnham, who literally saved all life in the Galaxy and now leads a crew that is dominated by strong women.
