Sertu is a method of Islamic cleansing and purification ritual. It is used to clean najis mughallazah, which is the severest form of impurity that comes from pig's and dog's or their derivatives. Sertu involves cleaning physically the feces (touch, hair, particles, excrement, sweat, saliva etc) and then cleansing symbolically.
