Completed printing on 4 Nov 1929 by Paul Brodard, master printer in Coulommiers. This definitive edition was printed on vellum from Papeteries du Marais, specially watermarked “in pen” for Grand Ecrivains collection.

It goes on to say that it is one of 200 but I couldn’t find a numbered watermark, as stated in this detail at the back of the book, so can’t confirm that.

There are marks, scuffs, rubbing on the cover and corners. Peeling and cracks in the surface of the spine. Scuffs across the top gilt. Marks and signs of foxing on pages. Hinges feel secure. Discolouration of some pages. Creases/chips on page edges. Rough cut pages. Bookplate pasted in the back upside down and dated 1931. No loose or missing pages but there are sections where the binding has cracked.
