Magnificent rare antique Silver Coffee Pot / Milk Pot / Chocolate Pot dating to the 18th Century. It was made by Johann Georg Kloss, Augsburg, Germany, circa: 1763 - 5. The antique Silver Chocolate Pot has a beautiful fluted form with a spiral ribbed design on the body and lid and with a beautifully carved dark wooden handle. The Finial is a full figural Flower and Leaf. The lid is hinged and is unusual to be located on the side. Note the handsome raised design under the spout. The antique German Coffee Pot / Chocolate Pot / Milk Pot stands 8 1/4" high and weighs approximately 9 ounces. Hallmarks located on the bottom (maker's mark IGK).
Is in magnificent condition with expected age related surface scratches and very minor wear. Has an aged patina and can be hand polished to be brighter and shiny.
It shows well in the photos and even prettier and more detailed in person. It’s a fine, rare and absolutely stunning piece. The Pot was photographed with and without a camera flash (the piece is picking up reflections of the room while being photographed).
