A very special edition of the African American Review dedicated to the inestimable author, UW professor, cartoonist, and commentator on life and spirit. The book has numerous commentaries on his work, and includes some of his great cartoons. Is is inscribed by him.

Also in this lot is a rare copy of his 2006 speech, The Magic in Our Hands, published by the University of Washington.

Additionally, the lot includes a signed book plate, Dr. Johnson's card, and three newspaper articles.

I have heard Dr. Johnson speak numerous times here in Seattle. These materials are a part of my collection. 

Both books are in excellent condition.
