Transport yourself back to the 19th century with this rare set of 13 hand puppets Punch and Judy collection owned by my family exclusively. My dad said the set was a gift from my great, great grandmother Georgiana Mott and that they were purchased in New York's iconic FAO Schwartz toy store. These vintage treasures have been crafted with exquisite detail in Germany and are sure to provide endless hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike. Each puppet has a unique personality and story to tell, making them perfect for collectors, puppet enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a unique addition to their toy collection. When I was ten in 1960 my father shared the puppet set with me and they were in disarray. I made new clothes, my father typed up some original Punch and Judy plays. Dad told me the stories over and over of how he received the vintage, special set,  "for the use of young Charles" then age 5, in 1929. His great grandmother Mott's family in NY were diamond cutters and real estate owners. Yes there is a street called Mott Street in NY and one of the family homes was in Greenwich Village, at Union Square. My father passed away at the end of 2022 at age 98, 8 days short of 99. He was a USMC vet from WWII, Bronze Star, Purple Heart. These puppets were used often over the years, appearing in family shows using Punch and Judy scripts in a makeshift theatre that found its way to the dump heap decades ago, sadly along with the copies of the old plays. But these wonderful puppets were carefully packed away and recently found among my father's final effects. The incredible vintage set with its fun history is to be treasured. Some, puppets need a new foot or leg of hand. Pictures reveal their vintage condition, sold as is. Questions are welcome. I was told the identity of each one, here repeated by "Memory": the Crocodile (rare), the Ghost, the Monkey, Punch, Judy, the Mayor, the Policeman, the Hangman, the Lumberman, the Judge, the Devil, the King and Judy's Mother  or Old Woman.
