Thank you for visiting. Made in 1992, this is the ``Special,'' a high-end model next to the top ``Maestro'' of Japan's world-famous Ken Kono guitars. The side back is Jacaranda, which is very rare these days.

This piece was created when Mr. Kono, who passed away in 1998, was in his prime.

It has a very deep, glossy, and loud volume that you won't believe is a standard 650mm scale, and its rich tone and sustain are mesmerizing. The sound of the first string is especially wonderful. The jacaranda on the side and back gives it a tone that feels hard in a good way. I own several classical guitars, but this is one of my favorites. I'm really impressed with the globally acclaimed Ken Kono guitar.

The neck is straight and there is no floating in the bridge. The string height is adjusted to a low 2-3mm, making it very easy to play. The top plate has had multiple repairs, but all of them have been properly patched and maintained at our Tokyo workshop. Also, more than 30 years have passed since it was made, so there are some scratches here and there as you can see in the photo, but of course there is no problem with the performance. It is in perfect player's condition, and I think players will be very satisfied with its volume and tone as a guitar that will last a lifetime.

By the way, as you can see in the photo, this individual has a gorgeous Jacaranda design on the side and back, making it a sight to behold. Items from this era do not have the white cloudiness (yellowness?) that is characteristic of Kono guitars (it may look like that in the photo, but that is due to the reflection of light).
