Here we have a beautiful Green Leather Suitcase/Vanity Case or "Necessaire de Voyage" with contents, dating from the 1930's

Unfortunately the original taffeta Lining has perished but if it was relined it would be a stunning piece.

The suitcase has its original canvas dustcover, the green leather covered handle also has its original canvas dustcover. 

Removing the dustcover reveals the suitcase in all its glory of Green Textured Leather with the initials "I.D.E." embossed in gold under the handle.

The suitcase is lined with green taffeta moire and inside the lid are two elasticated pockets. 

The front section of the suitcase drops down to reveal the vanity set, comprising of a Hand Mirror, Scissors, Nail File and Button Hook on the drop down section. There are pockets for two Storage Jars, two Bottles, a Hair Brush, a Nail Buffer, a Clothes Brush and two Rectangular Storage boxes. These are all made from Green Celluloid, an early form of plastic, and they are all in excellent condition apart from the Clothes Brush which has perished on one side.
