The book by Dr. George Mora has an introduction to Kahlbaum's life and work and lists his publications.  It is then followed by an English translation of his seminal monograph on catatonia "Die Katatonie oder das Spannungsirresein" that was published in 1874.  His major contributions to psychiatry include classifying diseases with an emphasis on following the disease course over time.
